Her journey from advertising to feature films is a different ball game

I wish we could go all out as the country needs it right now,” she signs off. In advertising, I know the rhythm and how things go about. As co-owner of Chrome Pictures, she feels her favourite film is Wagh Bakri, as a director. Even today, I would love to make an ad — 30 seconds to be able to tell a story is very cool. It won the Bronze at the Cannes Lion and Gold at the Goa Film Festival. I am excited about my feature film. For instance, if I’ve been given a choice — a colour or a sound, I am very sharp . This is because from a very young age, I was trained in these aspects. She gets candid as we talk to her about her work and future plans. It is very straight and direct, to the point for her. She also does social work, “We have an NGO that helps special children and the needy, shelter homes with tube wells, in a small way. I don’t shy away from the fact that I am way too ambitious. In an ad, I get a script, I improvise and I direct,” she elaborates. Her journey from advertising to feature films is a different ball game altogether though the technical aspects may be similar. A restless soul if she does not work, she needs something engaging her mind constantly. Apart from work, she loves to travel. I love my work so much, it is very difficult to express. My first shoot was in London — for 30 to 35 days I was with the same cast, crew with long working hours and then coming back to the hotel with the same people, so it became a family by default,” she adds.
She feels that whilst working on ad films, there is a professional bond between colleagues, but eventually one moves on. Born and brought up in Delhi and based in Mumbai, Aleya Sen, 38 years old, is a prolific ad film maker with over 300 ad films to her name. The dedication and passion is same even though the shooting process has been different because in advertising one shoots for two to three days, or at the most five. She co-directed and produced the Silent National Anthem, a distinguished public message video featuring students with hearing and speech impairment ‘singing’ the national anthem in sign language. “Thanks to my childhood, certain things have been very structured in me. Aleya is currently working on her maiden Hindi feature film, due for release next year.“To be very honest, I do love awards as I’m a super ambitious person. My sister was with me, and we would work on the script together, with a friend — very different from advertising. It was but natural that I would choose the path.“If you love what you do, then you haven’t worked a single day in your life,” sits perfectly in sync with Aleya Sen’s passion about her work. I wrote the script in a fun way with a lot of characters so the entire process of writing was very interesting. My father was also into advertising so from a very young age, I have known everything about it.
“When you’re working for two days as opposed to 30 days at a stretch, that is the difference, and one feels the transformation with a first feature film. For example, if you keep going to a music class, whether you like it or not, your mind gets trained into the beat, rhythm etc,” she explains. When I worked on my feature film, I thought that I will have to work longer at a stretch.. It is a different experience. She has been awarded the Asia Pacific AdFest, True Awards, ProMax Asia, BDA World Gold Awards and Dada Saheb Phalke Film Awards in 2013 for Salaam Bombay Foundation’s Anti-Tobacco campaign and the best film award in 2015 for Wagh Bakri. It won the best film award in 2015.“This is my first stint with a feature film and there is no comparison to ad films and I know that as I have been into advertising for a long time. The process is very quick, sharp, deadline-based, corporate structure, all a working style of advertising. “I tried hard to work on my restlessness through meditation but did not succeed,” says Sen, adding, “I am at the finishing stages so I am anxious,” about her upcoming film. It is not a job but a creation of magical content which makes the audience interested China aluminum mascara tubes manufacturers and there is the chemistry of acting, that I look into — background, production, art direction, costumes and the visual collaboration as well,” she goes on.

Patients who want to pay less for prescription skin

Regardless of medication potency, prescriptions generally cost more when patients saw dermatologists than when they received care from other physicians. This suggests that there&lipstick cases manufacturers39;s a potential to save up to about 11 percent on total costs using prescriptions from family and internal medicine doctors, they conclude. That's because dermatologists and other specialists are three times more likely than primary care providers to prescribe brand name versions of drugs known as topical immunomodulators, which includes treatments such as corticosteroids, calcineurin inhibitors and vitamin D analogs, the study found. The data also didn't specify that "specialists" were dermatologists, even though that is usually the type of provider who will treat patients with skin problems.Another challenge in cost comparisons for topical treatments is that people may use different amounts over different surface areas on the body. "It is possible that outcomes may justify the additional costs in this study, for example, if they get the right treatment that works for them and they don't need return visits.Researchers also analyzed prescriptions from doctors in specialty fields including dermatology, family medicine, internal medicine, psychiatry and neurology.90 in 2010. This means that unlike pills, which can easily be calculated into a daily cost, the amount patients use out of a single tube varies, contributing to differences in cost from one person to the next.
For a 30-day supply, brand prescriptions were associated with about $174 higher average total costs and roughly $27."We would assume dermatologists are treating more extensive diseases and thus requiring higher volumes of topical treatments but this was not available in the database," said senior study author Dr."To understand differences in costs and drug choices based on physician specialty, researchers examined prescription data for people with Medicare Part D drug benefits in 2008 and 2010."Patients should make sure to ask their physicians about whether there is a less expensive generic drug that is indicated for their conditions," Kesselheim added by email. While not all brand-name remedies have generic alternatives on the market, generic topical treatments can work just was well for the vast majority of patients in most clinical situations, said Dr.Overall, the average total cost for a 30-day supply of medicine was $56.Dermatologists and other specialists are three times more likely than primary care providers to prescribe brand name versions of drugs. Patients who want to pay less for prescription skin creams and ointments for inflammatory diseases like psoriasis may want to consider seeing their primary care doctor instead of a specialist, a U. Benjamin Kaffenberger of Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.Regardless of medication potency, prescriptions generally cost more when patients saw dermatologists than when they received care from other physicians, the study found.
The inflation-adjusted total cost of all topical immunomodulators was $232 million in 2008 and $252 million in 2010, researchers report in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.00 more in average out-of-pocket costs for patients than generic alternatives, the study of Medicare claims also found. One limitation of the study is that it only includes adults 65 and older, which may mean the findings could be different for topical treatments more commonly prescribed for children, the authors note.In comparison to doctors in family or internal medicine, dermatologists prescribe drugs with a yearly cost of $30 million to $32 million more, and $25 million to $27 million more for prescriptions of similar potency, the authors calculate. "Cost-related nonadherence is unfortunately too common among patients, and substitution of an equally effective generic drug for a brand name drug is a simple way to improve patient adherence and clinical outcomes.".S. Costs from 2008 were adjusted for inflation to 2010 prices.20 in 2008 and $51. Aaron Kesselheim, a researcher at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard University in Boston who wasn't involved in the study."This data is not linked to outcomes or diagnoses," Kaffenberger added by email. For patients, out of pocket cost for a 30-day prescription from a dermatologist was $13 to $14 higher than a prescription from a physician in family or internal medicine and $23 more than one from a specialist in psychiatry or neurology. study suggests.

The state-owned oil marketing companies will revise

Correction in prices now happen after a gap of a fortnight but from now on it will be on daily basis to reflect cost,” IOC chairman Sanjiv Singh said. The rates will vary from city to city as well as from petrol pump to petrol pump, with IOC, HPCL and BPCL deciding to follow a marginal differential pricing. These prices are now revised on the 1st and 16th of every month based on the average international price of the fuel in the preceding fortnight and currency exchange rate. It will lead to increased transparency, and enable the smoother flow of products from refineries and depots to retail outlets. But the decontrol of petrol prices in June 2010 and diesel prices in October 2014 gave an opening to the private firms. “After its successful implementation, the OMCs have now decided to start daily revision in retail selling prices of petrol and diesel in the entire country with effect from June 16,” an Indian Oil statement said on Thursday. The public sector OMCs are taking steps to establish a mechanism to convey the prices to consumers every day, including publishing the prices in newspapers daily, prominent display of prices at retail outlets, sending of price-related data/SMS from centralised locations and mobile apps, among others. “We are moving into a dynamic pricing. The move may encourage private firms like Reliance Industries to aggressively expand their petrol pump network across the country. The Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum and Bharat Petroleum implemented the daily revision of fuel prices on a pilot basis in Udaipur, Jamshedpur, Puducherry, Chandigarh and Visakhapatnam from May 1. With daily changes, unlikely to be more than a few paise per litre, the political pressure to not revise the rates, particularly during Assembly elections, will Aluminum Lip Gloss Tubes for sale go.The move may encourage private firms like Reliance Industries to aggressively expand their petrol pump network across the country and increase competition for state-owned firms, that till now had a monopoly. (Representational Image) New Delhi: The state-owned oil marketing companies will revise petrol and diesel prices every day throughout the country from June 16 depending upon international prices and the valuation of the rupee. Many developed nations too revise petrol and diesel prices on a daily basis.
I have seen millions spent on advertising

There are those who live by the face, there are those who live by the body and there are those who live by the mind. What can one even begin to say about the pressure of being in the limelight of the film industry? It’s high time to pull back on our covers and allow ourselves to heal, away from the scathing eyes of this unreal world that we have created. It’s high time to pull back on our covers and allow ourselves to heal, away from the scathing eyes of this unreal world that we have created. Both have put their best-doctored face forward, but the reality is very different. I have seen millions spent on advertising a particular phone whose claim to fame and USP is that it takes the best selfies. Everything we do has to be Instagrammable! How then can ageing and the fading of youth be tolerated? Go to a party or go to a Facebook page. These methods have become a travesty, and can even have dangerous consequences. Even if we eat something we need to show our food to the world — one can only imagine how far this will go.The people on this Ferris wheel can never get off it. We look better immediately, at the click of a button. China aluminum mascara case When our entire life is up on display, it is only natural that we want it to look really good. Our obsessive new leanings towards this aspect of our lives has spawned a mega-dollar industry, which feeds off our obsession with our appearance.
The beeline at cosmetic surgeons is unreal, and they are laughing all the way to the bank. It is life. This was fine till the Santoor advertisement of yesteryears. So our grass and trees are always greener, the sky painfully blue, the ocean whichever hue we choose. The writer is the chairperson of the AICC grievance cell. We, on the other hand, greedily and lustily feed on the solutions it offers, paying it the money that makes this industry a multi-billion dollar one. The apps help us to look slim, fair, sharp-nosed, sharp-jawed, large-eyed or whatever our cup of tea is.But youth is king. What is the joy in trying to look your daughter’s age and how terrible for the daughter to obliquely be told that she looks far older than her years? And this malaise affects those who are in the prime of their youth — they make the catchment area and the net is cast on them — and they must begin their beauty treatments before they even step into that age where the lines of a life well lived begin to show on them. We don’t clean them up, we don’t check, or worry if what we have written is senseless, we just post. It’s up to us to make our choices. This compounded with our growing need for instant gratification propels us towards certain attention-driven apocalypse. We wear a new dress, or get a new hairstyle and the need to showcase ourselves before the whole world is immediate. These sort of people have always been so, and will continue to be. People spend their whole lives mastering the perfect selfie. I have seen millions spent on advertising a particular phone whose claim to fame and USP is that it takes the best selfies. Because we need some sort of a response — and immediately! We need to count our “likes” and can even fret, go into a depression, make or break friendships, on the basis of our “likes”. The views expressed here are personal. We have allowed ourselves to be open to the harsh scrutiny of the world at large, an occurrence which makes us even more obsessed about putting out our “best looking” selves. This unreal alternate-world that buzzes and thrives on the Internet’s waves compels us to change everything we showcase on it.With so much intrusion into our private spaces, with a hyperactive social media and fast lifestyles, and the breakup of protective families, our personal boundaries are blurred and even erased.
They put on a brave face as they pay their huge bills at the cosmetic surgeon’s clinic, brave the pain that pierces the mist of the anaesthesia, smile and click a selfie to post online. Everything is seen through the distortion or enhancement of a filter, nothing is real or true to life..Stories about romances smashing to smithereens the moment they step into the real world from a virtual one are dime a dozen. People who only put out filtered and edited pictures of themselves slowly turn recluse — there is such a disparity between their reality and what they project to the world. Each new potion they offer, each new surgery they show promises everlasting youth. Look at us — we write a few paragraphs and post them immediately on our social media platforms. It is also queen. But now, this overkill can make a thinking person cringe. In a world where values have shifted from all that is solid and long-lasting to all that is ephemeral and temporary, it is not surprising that that too much attention is being given to how we look. People spend their whole lives mastering the perfect selfie. A picture of a lady with her daughter is most likely to be bombarded with comments suggesting that the mother and daughter duo look like sisters. It is the whole country. The market has caught on and is pandering to this need for instant gratification. And, because we are nervous about becoming irrelevant, we need to reinvent ourselves all the time, diminishing our core as we go along. When our entire life is up on display, it is only natural that we want it to look really good. Their faces begin to look like caricatures of their true selves and deep within their bodies, their hearts are shattered and afraid. This is because they have spent all their lives rubbing expensive lotions into their skins, instead of enriching their souls and soaking their minds in knowledge. So, instead of working out and shedding any extra weight, one can just go on to an app on a phone and correct how we look. This is the pressure of the “ordinary” person’s world. What happens to us when we face our reflections in the mirror is another story altogether. They worship their bodies — though their compulsions may wary.

The lines on the face are usually caused

The effects can be disastrous if nerve fibers supplying surrounding muscles get traumatised. The caveats, though, include the fact that the process is more invasive and painful than using a toxin. The writer is a cosmetic surgeon. The effect of Notox lasts for about a year. Since no toxin is injected into the skin, a large number of people are giving their nod to this procedure. Once the nerve has been identified, a controlled dose of radio frequency (RF) energy is administered to a portion of the nerve, disrupting its ability to send a signal to the muscle. This acts at the nerve muscle junction to prevent nerve stimulus reaching the muscle thus paralysing them. These formed lines give out an angry, tired or sad appearance. Under such techniques, only specific muscles can be targeted leaving the other muscles intact. The lines on the face are usually caused due to the contractions of delicate underlying facial muscles – every time we smile, laugh or frown. Celebrities like Renee Zellweger and Donatella Versace have allegedly undergone the procedure. But the latest breakthrough in the field of beauty and cosmetology is the Notox treatment – that's quite changing the face of surgical treatments. This means that local anesthesia is an integral part of the procedure. So, it is imperative that a prior consultation with your cosmetic surgeon is done before settling in eyeliner cases for sale for the same. On the other hand, Notox involves first assessing the muscles, which need to be paralysed. Until now, Botox aka Botulinum toxin injection was the only way these lines could be reduced and the forehead could be made to look clean and blemish-free. Moreover, notox-based procedures such as Skinbreeze, which is a facial that includes a combined micro-dermabrasion and LED light treatment, are gaining traction. This procedure is followed by an oxygen infusion of neo-peptide rich serums, thus inhibiting muscle responses. Then a low dose electric current is used through a needle to identify the nerve supplying the particular muscle. This completely non-invasive technique corrects your facial expressions, without the injection of toxins. How different is this from botox Botox is a neurotoxin produced by a bacteria Clostridium botulinum. The procedure entails the usage of radio frequency (RF) to attack the nerve, triggering the muscle movement that gets disrupted and prevents contraction of muscles.

If left untreated, ear infections can lead to some fatal conditions. Ear infections are caused due to trauma to the ear, bad upper respiratory infection and poor Eustachian tube function, wherein the tube connecting to the nose and ears have common pathways. Ear infections can result in serious neurological complications including hearing loss, facial paralysis, meningitis and brain abscess, according to a study published in the journal of Current Neurology and Neuroscience Reports. It was found that the use of antibiotics reduces the danger of ear infections but cannot cure them completely.Ear infections are caused due to trauma to the ear, bad upper respiratory infection and poor Eustachian tube function, wherein the tube connecting to the nose and ears have common pathways. Dr Pradeep Singh, senior consultant and chief of the department of ENT and neck surgery, states that ear infections must be properly treated, otherwise they can be fatal. Why is it important to treat ear infections properly?Prolonged or recurrent ear infections can lead to reduced hearing, dizziness, ringing sounds in the ears and in some cases, spread of infection to the brain. Ear infections can lead to neurological problems.
Cholesteatoma is a disease of the ear that has the potential to erode the bony barricade between the middle ear and brain, leading to the potential risk of meningitis, facial nerve paralysis, nerve-related hearing loss and brain abscess. This kind of potential complications require aggressive antibiotics therapy and surgery. How can facial paralysis be treated? Is it a rare occurrence?Facial paralysis is caused due to a middle ear infection. It is treated with surgical debridement and aggressive antibiotic therapy. The incidence is pretty low — 3.1 per cent. However, at the first sign of any weakness of the face muscles an immediate consultation must be sought. How is brain abscess caused? Can it lead to further complications?Factors causing brain abscess include high virulence of the organism, poor resistance of the patient, presence of chronic systemic diseases and resistance of the organism to antibiotics. Brain abscess is a severe complication. Initial management consists of stabilisation of the patient as continued in the management of the patient with meningitis.
Surgery may also be required in some cases.Which age group is found to suffer from these neurological conditions? China aluminum mascara case for sale Do co-morbid factors have an effect? It is most commonly seen to affect the poor socio-economic strata of society. Uncontrolled diabetes can cause aggravation of symptoms in the ear as it would with any other part of the body.Despite use of antibiotics, does the risk of infection continue?A premature withdrawal of medications may lead to the patient developing resistance to a particular antibiotic. There are ongoing studies to check the validity of the claim whether despite using antibiotics there is re-occurrence of infection. How can the ear be protected from recurrent infections?Ensure that the ear is safe from traumatic injuries and also prevent allergies. If there are allergens in the atmosphere or it is known that the person suffers from allergies, then the right precautions must be taken.Keep in mind1) Avoid exposing children to cigarette smoke2) Keep the nose clean3) Be properly hydrated4) Keep away from too much of processed foods and sugary juices5) Treat gastroesophageal reflux, if it is present6) Keep the ears dry.
